PERMANENT POWDER BROWS
Drawing on your brows every day takes a time that you'd probably rather spend doing something else. But have you heard of powder brows? Powder brows, also known as ombre brows, is a slightly newer semi-permanent brow technique that creates a soft, powdered look that subtly fills in your brow.
Powder brows typically last for 12 to 18 months. All of this is dependent on your lifestyle and skin!
LYOPHILIC VS. HYDROPHILIC Waxes are lyophilic (like oils) and therefore bind to the lipids in our skin. In addition, high temperatures and the mentioned lipophilicity have a negative impact on the condition of the skin and the risk of skin damage. Sugar paste is hydrophilic, the opposite of wax, so it likes water and does not dissolve or combine with fats. This reduces the risk of damage to the epidermis. An additional practical aspect of the hydrophilicity of sugar paste is that it is easy to wash off.
MATERIAL CONSUMPTION In the case of sugar paste (using the manual sugaring method), much less material is used. For example, about 50g-80g of paste is enough to epilate the whole legs. And after the whole treatment, the product can be thrown away and will biodegrade very quickly.
DIRECTION OF HAIR REMOVAL During waxing and sugaring, the material is applied to the skin in different directions. The direction of hair removal is also different. During sugaring, the hair is pulled in the direction of hair growth, while during waxing it is pulled under the hair. This not only has an impact on the clients' pain, but also on the subsequent process and the increased chance of ingrown hairs.
